Aroidsell – Terms & Conditions for International Buyers
Please read carefully before placing an order. By purchasing from [Your Shop Name], you agree to the following terms.
1. Customs, Duties, and Taxes

Buyer Responsibility: We are based in Indonesia. As the importer, you (the buyer) are fully responsible for any customs duties, import taxes (VAT), or brokerage fees charged by your country’s customs agency.

Payment: These fees are not included in our shipping price and must be paid by you upon arrival. We cannot refund orders if you refuse to pay these fees.
2. Import Regulations & Permits

Know Your Laws: It is the buyer's responsibility to be aware of the import regulations for their specific country.

USA: Orders of 12 plants or more may require a USDA Import Permit.

Canada: An Import Permit is typically required. Please provide your permit number in the order notes.

EU/UK: We will provide the mandatory Phytosanitary Certificate. However, please ensure the specific plant species you are buying is allowed in your region.

Seizure Risk: If your package is confiscated or destroyed by customs due to your failure to provide a necessary permit or because the species is prohibited in your country, we will not offer a refund.
3. Phytosanitary Certificate

Included/Processing: We process a Phytosanitary Certificate for every international shipment to ensure the plants are pest-free and comply with export regulations.

Processing Time: Obtaining this certificate from the Indonesian Agricultural Quarantine Agency takes 5-10 business days. We cannot ship immediately. Please be patient while we ensure your paperwork is legal.
4. Shipping & Plant Health

Stress is Normal: Plants are living things. During international shipping (which can take 5–10 days), plants may experience "shipping stress." This includes:

Yellowing leaves

Dropped leaves
-
Minor root decay
-
Folded or bent leaves
-

Acceptance: These are cosmetic issues and do not mean the plant is dead. With proper care and humidity, they will recover. We do not refund for minor cosmetic damage caused by shipping stress.

Winter Shipping: If you live in a cold climate (below 10°C/50°F), please note that you are purchasing at your own risk. We recommend adding a heat pack (available in our shop) or waiting until spring. We are not responsible for cold damage.
5. Dead on Arrival (DOA) & Refund Policy

No Returns: Due to the nature of international shipping and biosecurity laws, we cannot accept returns.

DOA Claim: If your plant arrives dead (completely rotted or dried out), you must:

Take a clear Unboxing Video (uncut, showing the label and opening the box).

Send us photos within 24 hours of delivery.

Resolution: If the plant is proven dead upon arrival (and not due to cold weather or customs delays), we will offer a replacement or a partial refund (excluding shipping costs).
