Description
The "Dino-Skin" Hoya. The Hoya Clemensiorum is a showstopper in the Hoya world, famed for its incredibly long, strap-shaped leaves and intense, darker green venation. The texture is often described as "muscular" or "prehistoric," resembling the skin of a reptile.
Native to the high-canopy forests of Borneo and Sumatra, this species is a robust climber. When exposed to bright light, the foliage develops stunning sun-stress colors, turning deep shades of bronze, maroon, and purple.
Why Collectors Love It:
-
Incredible Texture: The raised veins and rough surface give it a tactile quality unlike smooth Hoyas.
-
Statement Size: Leaves can grow quite long (up to 30cm+), making it a dramatic hanging or climbing specimen.
-
Unique Blooms: Produces clusters of strange, beautiful flowers in shades of creamy-orange to brown that smell slightly musky/citrusy.
